Memberships are non-refundable, except for medical and health conditions, deployment, or extraneous circumstances. Money is refunded by the same method that payment was made (for instance, if you paid with a Visa card, your refund will be posted to the same Visa card). Day use lockers are available throughout the facility and are the lockers that have hooks on them. Day use lockers are first come first serve each day. It is recommend that members bring their own lock (or purchase one from the service center for $7) to secure their belongings. Day use lockers must be cleaned out and the lock removed each night before closing. Items left overnight will result in the lock being cut and the items being logged in the lost and found.

Towel Service is available to purchase throughout the year at a cost of $4/month or $16/Semester. Please see the Service Center to purchase Towel Service. The Service Center accepts cash (bills no larger than $20), Ram Cash, credit (visa/mastercard), and check (with valid driver's license). Towel Service can only be purchased through payroll deduction if purchased in conjunction with and for the same length as a locker or membership. This service allows you to check out up to three full size shower towels at one time.
The Operator (including employees, agents, and/or contractors of the Operator, the event and the venue) and/or law enforcement officials may access lockers and the locker facility at any and all times and may examine any items, even if such items are in a sealed bag, backpack, suitcase or the like. Any items which may cause a risk and/or nuisance to the Operator, other users, the storage facility, the venue or the event may be removed and destroyed without notice to user and at the user’s expense. User waives any right of privacy to item stored in the lockers.
Don't count on finding this kind of thing. Some silly people put bombs in there. Our Homeland Security people try to head those things off. In Europe, especially GB, you can't even find a trash can on the sidewalks for the same reason. A worker at the train station told us to just throw it on the floor, the people in the green jackets will pick it up. Really. What a world we live in.
Terry, there are many storage unit places closer to the airport, but then of course you'd have to rent a car. DIA Self Storage, for example, is less than 10 miles away. If you intend to give up your locker, please empty it and return your key to the equipment room manager on, or before, the expiration date. Any items left in expired lockers will be removed. Toiletries will be discarded. Clothing and valuables will be held for 30 days in the Business Office. To retrieve your valuables, you must pay a $10 locker fee to the Business Office.

I agree with the suggestion about shipping your skis and boots, especially if you are not going to be using them after the Vail portion of your trip. Are you staying in LA for awhile or just making a connection there? If you are staying at a hotel in LA perhaps you could talk to them about having your equipment shipped there and stored as most hotels do have some sort of luggage storage facility. Hikers on the Appalachian Trail often ship supplies to US post offices that are in towns easily accessible to the trail so they don't have to carry everything with them. A lot will depend on your actual itinerary and whether you are stopping over in LA or just making a connection. You'll likely need to do some research and maybe think outside the box. I know it's always much nicer to ski on equipment you are used to but renting might end up being your best bet and the least hassle.
